It is a wonderful place to be,
To view the world through the imagination of a child,
To enjoy the brilliance of a rainbow;
Dew on an exquisitely woven web;
A raindrop on a flower petal;

Within the Faerielands there is no time, so you can take your time and explore as you wish. Follow the fairies, and they shall bring you to one aspect of this world and then to another. There is plenty of time to Dance with the Faeries, Explore what hides in the Shadows, and join in the Great feasts of FaeryLand Underhill.

Red Eyed Frog No 1

This was the first red eyed frog in my series and the first frog painting I did.

I love frogs and red eyed frogs in particular.
I painted this one just to see if I could.

The reference material for this frog painting was the master of nature photography Mr. Steve Parish (Hi Steve!).

His photographs are so pure, and I wanted to achieve a photorealistic look to the painting I needed a great photo for my reference.

It was a huge challenge painting all the waterdrops on the leaf.

I breed frogs, well I provide the ponds and they just come one over. I still have the same fascination I did when I was a little girl.. watching them grow their legs and their tails disappearing.

I have three frog ponds. I sometimes wonder if the fairies come and feed and tend the baby tadpoles. One wonders......
